B00M: How 18-Year-Old Man Forced An Aged Couple To Transfer N600,000

An 18-year- old young man identified as Emmanuel Peace, have been arrested after he forced an aged couple to transfer N600,000 at gunpoint in Delta state.

Divisional Police Officer of the Okpanam Division, who received a distress call on Sunday, June 13, on a robbery incident at about 09:10pm, swiftly moved to arrest the suspect who invaded houses in the area.

The caller had informed the DPO that a robber, who was armed with a gun, entered the house of the victims and forced those who did not have cash to transfer money to an account.

 

The suspect who forced the aged couple to transfer the sum of N600,000 to an account number belonging to one Anwanga Abasi Nathaniel Udo, was subsequently arrested with a fake gun made with wood.

According to the acting Police Public Relations Officer, Delta state, DSP Bright Edafe, other exhibits recovered from the suspect included two knives and torchlight.

Edafe added that investigation into the incident was ongoing.
