When Zig Ziglar, American author, Politician and motivational Speaker said “You were born to win, but to be a winner, you must plan to win, prepare to win and expect to win”, he never knew that he was  referring to Hon. Dr. Mike Ukoha, the newly sworn-in  Lawmaker representing the good people of Arochukwu State Constituency in the Abia House of Assembly.

In life, there are peaks and valleys, wilderness and vegetations, and the essence of life is often realized when one engages in something bigger than oneself, so it was, when Dr. Mike Ukoha threw his net into the waters of  the just concluded general election in the Nigeria.

Despite the emergence of candidates in other political parties, the candidature of Hon. Dr. Mike Ukoha towered like the Kilimanjaro mountain and intimidated his opponent who saw his winning strokes and cowed.

Throughout the period of electioneering campaign, down to the election proper, Hon. Dr. Ukoha and his winning team remained committed, focused, resilience and redoubtable as they traversed the length and breadth of the eleven wards that made up of his Constituency, soliciting the people’s votes. The overwhelming and resounding welcome he received in each of the communities across the LGA, was evident that   the people are behind him.

 Hon. Dr. Mike Ukoha actually prepared for it, planned for it,     and expected nothing but winning at the end. Those campaign period across the Constituency, afforded him the opportunity to meet with his constituents one on one, mingled with them, interacted with them and listen to their many bedeviling challenges. They saw Hope in him and felt his sincerity and ability to profer solutions to those challenges.

With a clear cut campaign message, Hon. Dr. Mike Ukoha and his team were able to highlight his Seven (7) points agenda to his constituents which included Agriculture, Affordable Health Care, Education, Diaspora Participation, Security, Transportation and Women and Youths Empowerment.

For those who do not know much about this genial giant, it will be pertinent to note that Hon. Dr. Mike Ukoha is not a neophyte in politics. In fact, he has seen it all in the areas of galvanizing humanities and resources for political emancipation.

Right from his days in the prestigious University of Nigeria Nsukka where he played a stable and solid role in the students activism which latter saw  him as the  student union President, down to the Second Republic in Nigeria when he fully cut his teeth politically, Hon. Dr. Mike Ukoha has continued to move forward and has never looked backward. Today, the people of Arochukwu Local Government Area being his Constituency, are glad that they made the right choice by voting massively to elect him so as to enable him replicate those developmental ideas which he has been conversant with way back from the United States of American where he lived. 

 The people of Arochukwu Constituency rightly knew  that voting Dr. Ukoha to power, will afford  him the immense opportunity to make laws  that will affect them positively and bring back the glories of the past.

Hon. Dr. Mike Ukoha is a man of conscience and content, he is a man of value, he is relatable and reachable, he is a man of quality and quantity, his qualitative representation will create quantity. That is  what his constituents are on the look out for as he takes his seat.

Suffices to say that the trait of a good leader include intelligence, charisma, decisiveness, humility, self-confidence, enthusiasm, strength, and brains. These are what Hon. Dr. Ukoha has in abundance.

With his chains of degrees both home and abroad, Hon. Dr. Mike Ukoha is set to do exploit for Arochukwu Constituency.

As Hon. Dr. Mike Ukoha takes his seat for the 7th Assembly, we look forward to a qualitative  representative responsibilities to the good people of Arochukwu Constituency.

We all doff our hat for this worthy Lawmaker. Whom the cap fits, let him wear it.
