The honorable member representing Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency, Hon. Amobi Godwin Ogah, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Nigeria’s former President, Muhammadu Buhari, who died at the age of 82 in a London clinic.
In a heartfelt condolence message issued on Sunday, Hon. Ogah extended his sympathies to the Federal Government of Nigeria, the Katsina State Government, and the entire Daura community, describing the late Buhari as “a towering figure whose legacy will remain etched in Nigeria’s political and historical journey.”
“On behalf of the good people of Isuikwuato and Umunneochi, I extend our sincere condolences to the Federal Government, the government and people of Katsina State, and the family of the late President Muhammadu Buhari. His passing marks the end of an era in Nigerian leadership,” Hon. Ogah stated.
He commended Buhari’s service to Nigeria, first as a military leader and later as a democratically elected President, noting that while opinions may differ on his administration, “his patriotism and dedication to national unity were undeniable.”
Hon. Ogah also called for national reflection and unity during this period of mourning, urging Nigerians to “honor the late president’s memory by working collectively toward peace, stability, and good governance.”
He prayed for the peaceful repose of Buhari’s soul and for strength to his family and the nation at large.
