Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani Kayode, has tackled a popular Islamic cleric, Sheikh Ahmed Gumi, for advising the Federal government not to declare bandits terrorists.

Recall that following calls from various angles for the Federal government of Nigeria to declare bandits terrorists to enable the military face them squarely without breaking international laws, Gumi came out again to warn the FG against that.

Gumi has been known for his controversial suggestions and continued defense for bandits who have been terrorizing states especially in the northern part of the country.

Kayode on his official Facebook page, noted that Gumi is worse than Abubakar Shekau, late leader of BokoHaram terrorist group.

“Sheik Ahmad Gumi, the Rasputin of Arewa, whose father once said a Christian must not rule Nigeria & who himself said the FG must not declare the killer bandits as terrorists is worse than Abubakar Shekau & Al Barnawi. He is a venomous snake & a wolf in sheep’s clothing” Kayode wrote.
