GUBER 2023: No Change Will Come To Abia Unless A Woman Takes The Saddle – Adaugo Abia

Chief Oluchi Bradford Ogwo (Adaugo Abia), yesterday, received the nomination and expression of interest form to contest for governorship under the platform of the Youth Party (YP)

 

Speaking at the party’s secretariat shortly after she received the form, Adaugo Abia, said that it was a historic day in the State as it is the first time a woman would be running for governorship in the Abia State.

Adaugo Abia asserted that the lack of development witnessed in the State is a result of bad leadership that has been spearheaded by men over the years.

 

According to her, it is time for a woman to lead the State and change the ugly narrative.

 

“No change would come to Abia state unless a woman takes the saddle of leadership as our men have failed”

Chief Ogwo expressed confidence that she can lead the state as she has shown capacity in other areas of life, especially in handball where she represented the country and is well known internationally.

 

She appealed to everyone to rally around her and make sure she wins the general election in 2023, as that would be for the betterment of Abians.

 

Responding, the party chairman in Abia State, Hon. Chris Onyekachi, said that the emergence of Adaugo Abia as the sole candidate of the party for the governorship in the state is divinely orchestrated as God will use her to rescue the state from bad leadership and pledge to give her the necessary support so as the clinch the governorship in 2023.
