Governor Otti graces the wedding of CP Danladi Isa’s son, offering a powerful message on love, unity, and the divine role of marriage in society.
The Executive Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, has once again demonstrated his deep commitment to the core values of society—faith, family, and unity—by celebrating the solemnization of holy matrimony between Miss Lillian Philips and Mr. Amos Isa, son of the Abia State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Danladi Isa.
The colourful ceremony took place at the FCT Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board in Wuse, Abuja, drawing the attendance of distinguished personalities, religious leaders, security chiefs, and well-wishers from across the country.
Speaking through the Abia State National Assembly Liaison Officer, Hon. Iheanyi Frank Chinasa, Governor Otti conveyed his heartfelt congratulations to the newlywed couple. He described marriage as a sacred institution ordained by God and emphasized its critical role in shaping not just individuals but entire societies.
“Marriage is not just a celebration of love; it is a purposeful journey anchored in faith, commitment, and vision. The strength of the family forms the bedrock of a thriving, peaceful, and productive society,” Dr. Otti stated.
The Governor’s representative urged the couple to build their new home on the values of love, peace, trust, and mutual understanding. He emphasized that the stability of homes determines the stability of the nation, and encouraged the couple to embrace their new life together with wisdom and maturity.
Mr. Danladi Isa, the groom’s father and current Abia State Commissioner of Police, expressed his gratitude to Governor Otti for his support and goodwill message. He also thanked the numerous dignitaries and spiritual leaders who graced the occasion, describing the day as a moment of joy and spiritual significance for his family.
Guests were treated to a blend of traditional warmth and modern elegance as the event showcased unity in diversity, bringing together friends and associates from various ethnic, religious, and professional backgrounds.
The event was also marked by prayers from Christian leaders, urging the couple to remain committed to God and to each other as they begin their marital journey.
As the music played and dancing followed, one thing remained clear: the union of Lillian and Amos was not just a celebration of two hearts, but also a reflection of shared values, respect, and leadership—a reminder that behind every strong nation are strong families.
With this public gesture, Governor Otti once again reaffirmed his stance on upholding moral values, strengthening institutions, and celebrating the foundational pillars of society—marriage and family.
