Abia State Governor Alex Otti has congratulated Ambassador Bianca Ojukwu on her appointment as Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, describing it as “befitting” and impactful for Nigeria’s foreign policy. He expressed support for her role and praised her dedication to public service.

Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, has extended warm congratulations to Ambassador Bianca Ojukwu on her recent appointment as Nigeria’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs. Ambassador Ojukwu, the former Nigerian Ambassador to Spain and the widow of the late Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, was appointed to the role by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Governor Otti praised the decision, calling her selection “befitting” due to her extensive diplomatic experience, steadfast commitment to justice, and record of excellence in public service.

In his statement, Governor Otti expressed confidence that Ambassador Bianca Ojukwu’s appointment would help advance Nigeria’s foreign policy and diplomatic relations, particularly by benefiting Nigerian citizens abroad. “Ambassador Bianca Ojukwu’s appointment isn’t just excellent and befitting; it will bring immense benefits to Nigeria, especially in foreign policy and diplomatic engagements. Her experience and unblemished record of public service make her an invaluable asset,” Otti remarked.

Highlighting her qualities of courage, candor, and consistency in advocating for justice and good governance, Governor Otti emphasized that Ambassador Ojukwu has consistently demonstrated her dedication to the nation’s growth and development. He urged her to use her new role as a platform for furthering her contributions to nation-building, adding that the people of Abia and supporters nationwide would stand behind her in solidarity.

Governor Otti also expressed gratitude to President Tinubu for this thoughtful appointment, commending it as a move that reflects the President’s commitment to fostering progress in critical areas, especially in foreign relations.

This appointment is widely viewed as a strategic step in enhancing Nigeria’s global partnerships, and the support from Governor Otti underscores a shared commitment among leaders to fostering unity and excellence in governance.
