The Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has appointed Barrister Ibrahim Kashim as the new Secretary to the State Government (SSG).
This was contained in a press statement signed and made available to journalists in Bauchi, on Tuesday, June 15, by the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the governor, Mukhtar Gidado.
The Governor had on Wednesday, June 9, dissolved his cabinet, sacking 21 Commissioners including Special Advisers.
According to Mohammed, he sacked the Commissioners because they cannot play politics. He however retained his Special Advisers on Security, National and State Assembly Liaison, Social Investment, and Media and Publicity.
Kashim who hails from Bauchi Local Government Area of the state was the immediate past Director-General, Bureau for Privatisation and Economic Reforms.
He is a Legal Practitioner, a former Lecturer at Dan Fodio University Sokoto, and a policy expert.
The governor, on Monday, June 14, also appointed Dr. Aminu Gamawa, as the new Chief of Staff, Government House.
