GHANA VS NIG: We Are Ready For Whatever They Turn Up With- Ahmed Musa| DETAILS

Ahead of Tuesday’s blockbuster World Cup playoffs encounter in Abuja, Super Eagles Captain, Ahmed Musa has insisted his side is ready for whatever sports rivals, Ghana turns up with.

Augustine Eguavoen’s men took on Ghana’s Black Stars in a high voltage first leg at the famed Baba Yara Stadium, Kumasi on Friday 25th March.

The thrilling outing, however ended with both sides sharing the spoils with a 0-0 scoreline.

While some disappointed fans have posited the star studded team was rather uninspiring in the ”Kill or be Killed” clash, others have opined the boys still have glaring prospects to edge out their counterparts come March 27th.

Reacting to raging opinions, the 29-year-old forward reiterated the boys are fully concentrated in their quest to earn Nigeria a seventh appearance at football’s biggest gathering in Qatar.

Recounting his World Cup experiences, the Turkish Süper Lig player stated it was his desire to relive the thrills alongside newbies in the team.

Musa who spoke in a interview with NFF TV said;

“All the players, including myself, want to go to the World Cup. For me, it is very important because it could be my last World Cup. I enjoyed the last two finals that I participated in, Brazil 2014 and Russia 2018. I want to experience it again. Most of the players in the present squad have not been to the World Cup and they desire to be there.

We all know it won’t be easy. Ghana will come here to do battle but we are ready for whatever they turn up with. I will not say more than that.”

Since the 1994 debut, Nigeria has appeared in the finals of the FIFA World Cup on six occasions.
