G5 Governors To Grace PDP Campaign Flagoff In Abia State On Thursday

 

The Group of Five (G5) Governors also known as the “Integrity Governors” of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), will on Thursday, November 24, 2022 be in Abia State for the official campaign flag off of the PDP in Abia State.

This was disclosed by Elder Abraham Amah, the Abia State PDP Vice Chairman/Acting State Publicity Secretary on Tuesday, while briefing newsmen in Umuahia.

The campaign flag off will hold at the Umuahia Township Stadium by 10am with governors Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia); Nyesom Wike (Rivers); Seyi Makinde (Oyo); Samuel Ortom (Benue); and Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (Enugu) in attendance.

 

High points of the event will be the official presentation of Professor Uche Ikonne as the PDP governorship candidate in Abia state and his running mate, Honourable Okey Igwe; presentation of flags to all candidates including governor Okezie Ikpeazu who is the party’s candidate for Abia South Senatorial district, presentation of PDP scorecard “based on the promises it made in 2015 and 2019”.

Addressing speculations that governor Ikpeazu is not in support of the PDP Presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar with his association with the G5 Governors, Abraham Amah maintained that the Abia PDP including Ikpeazu believes in the candidature of Atiku, adding that “we remain committed to our 5/5 mantra”

 

“We believe so much in the candidature of Atiku Abubakar; We believe he has the capacity to win the national election” Amah added.

He assured that the Abia PDP will give maximum support to Atiku, Ikonne and other candidates of the party for the 2023 general elections.
