2023: G5 Governors Are Playing A Dangerous Politics – Kingsley Megwara warns
The spokesperson of Atiku Abubakar’s presidential campaign in Abia State, Honourable Kingsley Megwara has described the agitation of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Group of 5 (G5) governors as a dangerous politics which does not reflect the agitations of over 200million Nigerians.
Megwara said the continued agitation of the G5 governors despite pleas to let bygones be bygones is owed to their personal ambitions which does not reflect the interest of millions of Nigerians.
The spokesman who featured on ‘Focal Point’ an AF-TELEVISION programme on Monday, stated that the interest of the G5 governors is not important than that of millions of Nigerians but the most important thing is to “wrestle power from APC so that Nigeria can be rejigged.”

In his words;
“The Group of 5 Governors are playing very dangerous politics at this time. They understand the problems in this country today; their agitations have been noted by Nigerians and the party but to continue and persistently because of individual ambitions try to scuttle the overall interest of 230 million Nigerians, that is dangerous politics”.
Megwara recalled that most of those agitating for the resignation of Iyorchia Ayu played major role in the sack of Uche Secondus, a former chairman of the party. He therefore appealed to the G5 Governors to set their grievances aside, join hands and change the country.
“If APC continues being in power it will be suicidal for Nigerians” he added.
He specifically called on governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State to sheath his sword and embrace peace.
“if you (Wike) truly believe in Nigeria and the sufferings of 230million Nigerians, now is the time to say let us begin the healing process. We need to pull together as a political party and support Alhaji Atku Abubakar to see if we can get this country going again.
“are we going to risk this and see a continuation of APC for another 4 years? that will be suicidal for this country. I am appealing to the G5 governors, you’ve made your points and the healing process starts now.
“to maintain the position of the G5 governors is to maintain the position that you want the continuity of the APC government which is not what we need at this time.”
He expressed confidence that Atiku will win the presidential election with or without the aggrieved governors adding that Atiku has a better chance of becoming the next president of Nigeria.
“the numbers are adding up for Atiku Abubakar than the others” Megwara added.
