The Chairman of Grandcorp Holdings, Ma’azi Chinedumije Ibezim, has extended warm birthday felicitations to former Chief of Army Staff, Azubuike Ihejirika, describing him as an exceptional asset to his people and a towering pride of Nigeria.

In a heartfelt goodwill message made available to All Facts Newspaper, Ma’azi Ibezim, who hails from the same community as the retired General Ovim in Isuikwuato Local Government Area of Abia State, praised Ihejirika’s distinguished military career and enduring legacy of service.

Ma’azi Ibezim noted that Lt. Gen. Ihejirika’s journey from Ovim to the pinnacle of Nigeria’s military leadership remains a source of inspiration to the younger generation.

According to him, the former Army Chief represents discipline, resilience, and patriotism, virtues that have brought honour not only to Ovim community but also to Isuikwuato LGA, Abia State, and Nigeria at large.

“General Ihejirika is an asset to our people and a pride of Nigeria. Ovim is proud of him, Isuikwuato celebrates him, Abia State honours him, and the nation acknowledges his service,” Ibezim stated.

The Grandcorp Chairman highlighted the former Army Chief’s tenure as a defining period in Nigeria’s military history, noting that his leadership strengthened operational structures and reinforced the Army’s role in national security.

He described Ihejirika’s time in office as one marked by courage, strategic vision, and unwavering commitment to the unity and stability of the country.

According to Ibezim, the retired General’s achievements continue to stand as a benchmark for leadership, dedication, and integrity in public service.

Ma’azi Ibezim used the occasion to wish Lt. Gen. Ihejirika sound health, longevity, and greater accomplishments in the years ahead.
