Operatives of Lagos State Police Command have denied the rumors making the rounds about the assassination of a Pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church God (RCCG) in Lagos.

The social media had reported that suspected assailants had killed a pastor of RCCG identified as Bolanle Ibrahim inside his church, the King of King Parish, located in Mile 12 area of Lagos State.

Speaking with LEADERSHIP, the Lagos State police command spokesman, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, said they were not aware of any pastor being assassinated in Lagos.

According to him, the only case reported was that of a man, a worker in the church who was assassinated by unknown gunmen inside the church at Ogudu area of the state.

He said, “From our own little information, we gathered that the man has been tailed by an assailant right from outside because he was finally killed inside the church.”

He also stated the man was attacked during church service and the assailants went for him in the church

“We are investigating the case because we have a clue into the killing. We will unravel the case.”
