The people of Arochukwu Local Government Area of Abia State, have been assured that flooding will be a thing of the past very soon.
The Minority Whip and member representing Arochukwu State Constituency in Abia House of Assembly, Mike Onyekwere Ukoha, gave this assurance in a press release on Friday, May 12, signed by his Media Assistant, Chimezie Okoroafor.
Ukoha said he has reached out to the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) over the recent flooding in the area.
He noted that officials of NEMA and SEMA, are prepared to visit the affected areas.

The Minority Whip/member representing Arochukwu State Constituency, Abia House of Assembly, is by this release informing the people of Arochukwu that his office has contacted the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), and National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), over the recent flooding in some part of Obinkita and other identified flood prone areas in Arochukwu, as a result of the rainy season.
The Lawmaker in the statement, explained that officials of SEMA/NEMA are prepared to visit the affected areas to capture the serious effects.
He explained that he share the pains of those who were affected by the recent flood and urge the people to remain calm as efforts are being made for quick intervention to the affected areas.
