A staff of the Delta state Local Government Civil Service Commission, Chuka Nwosu, who allegedly hypnotized a 13-year-old girl and ra-ping her to death, has been arrested.

The victim, was allegedly ra-ped by the suspect on December 7, 2021 at Issele Uku, Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta state.

Nwosu had left the victim bleeding after allegedly assaulting her s-exually. She died at El-Comfprt Hospital while her corpse was deposited at Federal Medical Centre (FMC), mortuary, Asaba till date.

Weeks after police launched a manhunt for the suspect who fled, he resurfaced and surrendered himself on Thursday, January 13, 2022.

According to the police, the suspect has admitted committing the crime while pleading for leniency.

He is currently at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Asaba.
