FEDPONEK Owerri Bans Students From Driving Private Cars Into Campus | READ WHY

The Federal Polytechnic Nekede (FEDPONEK) Owerri in Imo State, have banned its students from bringing their private cars into the school premises.

This was contained in a circular dated January, 27, 2022.

FEDPONEK school management reached the decision after deliberating on the use of vehicles by students and their flamboyant display of wealth on campus in an emergency meeting.

The circular signed by B.O Dara for the registrar, titled; ‘Prohibition of use of vehicle by students on campus’ read;

management at its emergency management meeting held on Thursday, 27th January 2022, deliberated on the use of vehicle by students and their flamboyant display of wealth on campus

After thorough deliberation, management therefore directed as follows;

  1. students are hereby banned from driving their vehicles into the campus
  2. only staff are allowed to drove into the campus
  3. the staff will be identified by presentation of their ID cards
  4. staff who have lost their ID cards should obtain a letter of identification from the registrar. The letter of identification must bear staff passport photograph.
  5. students using vehicles must stop at the gate.
