Information reaching AF NEWS with pictures has it that six Abia State University Uturu (ABSU) undergraduates were involved in a fatal motor accident along Enugu – Port Harcourt express road. One of the student died at the spot, while others sustained different degree of life threatening injuries.

The students involved are as follows;

1, Nwachukwu Onyinyechi Sandara.
Dept – Microbiology, 400level. From Isialangwa.

2, Ndubuisi Ihedioha
Dept – political Science, 300level from Umunneochi.


3, Kingsley Michael
400level from Umunneochi.

4,Earnest Amadi Precious
Dept – FST
100level from Ukwa East

5, Onwubiko Uzoamaka
Dept -Industral physics
400 level from Isuikwuato.

Final year. From Anambra State.


While speaking with the Special Assistant on Student Affairs to Governor Okezie Ikpeazu, Comrade Chibuzo Ndom, he revealed that the students sustained serious injuries and that one of the student have been transferred to Owerri for intensive care due to brain injury.


“Immediately the incident happened, the governor instructed me to visit the students at their different location and ascertain their condition at the moment”

“Let me also reveal that the passionate governor of Abia State has put plans in place to off set the hospital bill of the students involved in the accident”


“I have reported back to the governor on my findings and i can assure you that actions are being put in place to intervene now” he concluded.
