The honorable member representing Aba North/South federal constituency, Honorable Prestige Ossy has felicitated with the Muslim Community in Aba and urged everyone to join hands to repair the fabric of love and oneness that binds the people together especially at a trying time such as the Covid-19 global crisis period.
Ossy said Nigerians must close ranks and refuse to accommodate the machinations of those who seek to profit from their pains or widen the lines of division.
The lawmaker, who noted that the nation has sadly witnessed the escalation of division and insecurity of recent, urged Nigerians to work together to bring an end to that.
He also advised that all regulations by health experts to curb the coronavirus infection must be adhered to saying there are still more celebrations in the future and only those who are alive would partake in them.
He told Muslims that the month of Ramadan is intended to teach how to live good and compassionate lives, saying it is a month of sacrifice, abstinence and above all, love.
Ossy urged Nigerians to avoid all forms of recriminations and face the challenges of nation building, calling on Muslim faithful to sustain the virtues of Ramadan.
He congratulated Muslims for completing one of the Five Pillars of Islam.
