The EFCC Chairman ordered the immediate arrest of officers involved in manhandling a female hotel staff in a viral video, launching a detailed investigation to ensure appropriate disciplinary measures.

Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ola Olukoyede, has ordered the immediate arrest of two officers allegedly involved in the manhandling of a female staff member at Regional Hotel, Ojo, Lagos.

In a statement released on Thursday by EFCC spokesperson Dele Oyewale, it was confirmed that the chairman took swift action following the circulation of a viral video depicting the unprofessional conduct of the officers. Olukoyede also mandated a thorough investigation into the operation conducted at the hotel.

“The officers were sighted in a viral video assaulting the staff of the hotel during an early morning sting operation in Lagos. The operation yielded a sizable number of suspects who are still being profiled,” Oyewale stated.

The EFCC chairman assured the public that any officers found culpable would face appropriate disciplinary measures. He emphasized the Commission’s dedication to maintaining professionalism and adherence to the rule of law in all its operations.

Olukoyede urged the public to remain calm and trust that the EFCC is committed to carrying out its duties with the highest standards of professionalism and respect for legal processes. WATCH VIDEO:
