Easter: Abia Deputy Governor Urges Christians To Pray For Peace, Security

The Deputy Governor of Abia State,Sir Ude Oko Chukwu has called on Christians in the State as they join their counterparts in Nigeria and all over the world to celebrate EASTER,to intensify their prayers for lasting peace and security in Abia State in particular and Nigeria in general.
In his Easter Message to Abians signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Obasi Onwukah,the Deputy Governor described the Easter Season as a period of sober reflection and solemn spiritual turn-around for all Nigerians,especially Christians to appreciate the urgent need to make the necessary sacrifices for the unity,peace and security of the Nigerian Nation.
The Deputy Governor charged Christians to always internalise and uphold the sterling tenets of Christianity as handed down by Jesus Christ Himself whose resurrection represents the triumph of good over evil,vindication and victory over sin and death,adding that the passion and death of Christ have a salvific outcome for mankind.
Sir Oko Chukwu enjoined Abia Christians and indeed Nigerians in general to join hands with the Abia State and Federal Governments in their efforts to create safe and secure environment for all citizens assuring that with the help of the Omnipotent God,the festering security challenges, agitations and criminalities confronting our country Nigeria will be surmounted.
Sir Oko Chukwu while congratulating and wishing Abia Christians a nd citizens a peaceful and happy Easter Celebration,urged them not to relent in their support and loyalty to the Okezie Ikpeazu-led administration.
