Dr. Pastra Etie Is Quietly Building a Tech Empire — Unveiled As Abia Online Media Patron

Discover why Dr. Pastra Etie was unveiled as a Patron of the Abia State Online Media Association and how his tech innovations through Bems Group are reshaping Nigeria’s digital landscape.

Nigeria’s technology and enterprise ecosystem is witnessing a major shift, and at the heart of that transformation is Dr. Pastra Arinze Etie, the Group Managing Director of Bems Group, a rapidly expanding conglomerate reshaping digital service delivery across multiple sectors.

From technology and ICT infrastructure to construction, oil and gas, agriculture, and AI-powered enterprise systems, Bems Group continues to assert itself as one of the most innovative indigenous corporations in Nigeria.

The group’s structure spans several subsidiaries, including BemsSoft Hub Ltd, SmartAIRS, Bemstraz Construction Ltd, Bems Farms, Bems ICT Hub, Zi-Bems Oil Ltd, and the Bems Institute of Technology. Through these platforms, the company is pushing boundaries in digital transformation, institutional strengthening, and enterprise modernization.

A major milestone in Dr. Etie’s growing public profile emerged recently when he was unveiled as one of the Patrons of the Abia State Online Media Association  — a recognition industry watchers say reflects his contributions to ICT, digital innovation, and the expansion of media-supporting technology in Abia and beyond.

The leadership of Abia State Online Media described his patronship as a strategic step, noting his “capacity-driven leadership and unmatched commitment to strengthening digital infrastructure.”

Dr. Etie’s influence is further highlighted through Bems Group’s suite of AI-integrated enterprise solutions, including SmartAIRS, PetrolSwift, SchoolCloud, Omnipresent, and BemsPay. His flagship product, SmartAIRS, is fully operational in Abia State, with ongoing expansion into other regions as government institutions, schools, and private organizations embrace automation.

With over 20 years of technology development experience and more than 30 years as an entrepreneur, Dr. Etie is widely regarded as a transformational enterprise architect. His work is credited with improving efficiency, promoting indigenous technology development, and boosting Nigeria’s competitiveness in the digital economy.

Dr. Etie is also recognized as the Ochiagha of Nneato Ancient Kingdom, a devoted Christian, and a family man. He is married to Onyinyechi Etie, and they are blessed with two children — Zinachi and Adannaya.

Industry analysts say Dr. Etie’s appointment as Patron is another confirmation of his rising influence in Nigeria’s tech and media ecosystem — and a signal that Bems Group’s footprint will continue expanding across the country.
