The Chairman of the All Progressive Congress Sen. Abdullahi Adamu has expressed worries over defection of their members to opposition parties.
Adamu made this known to journalists after his meeting with the Senate Caucus of the Party and the National Working Committee.
AFNews had reported that three Senators belonging to the All Progressives Congress (APC) had resigned their membership of the ruling party.
The lawmakers are Senators Ahmad Babba Kaita (Katsina North), Lawal Yahaya Gumau (Bauchi South), and Francis Alimikhena (Edo North). Whilst Babba Kaita and Alimikhena defected to the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, Gumau, on the other hand, defected to the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).
Speaking with journalists, Sen. Adamu confirmed that he is worried, though he admitted that it is the season but no reasonable leader will not be worried about defections, that is why he came to meet with the Senators.
