…. Abia Youths Are Demanding Public Apology from Enviable Transport CEO
Umuahia, Nigeria – A major controversy has erupted in Abia State’s entertainment scene following the visit of Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, a.k.a. Davido, with two top industry players—Mayor Lucky Igbokwe (Don Lulu) and Enviable Transport CEO, Mr. Ituma Chukwuemeka—at the center of the unfolding drama.
Davido had visited Umuahia to headline the birthday celebration of Don Lulu and the grand unveiling of his twin radio stations, Don FM and Ikoro FM—both seen as historic milestones in the South-East media and entertainment sector.
But rather than the visit ending in cheers and applause, it has now birthed outrage, tension, and demands for public accountability following what has been described by insiders as an orchestrated act of sabotage allegedly perpetrated by Enviable Transport CEO, Ituma Chukwuemeka, and nightlife influencer, Cubana Chiefpriest.
“Davido Was Misled” – Source Reveals
According to multiple sources, Don Lulu had fully paid Davido’s performance fee, chartered a private jet to fly him into Owerri International Airport, and coordinated his itinerary for the Umuaahia event. However, shortly after arrival, drama ensued.
Cubana Chiefpriest allegedly tried to divert Davido to his personal residence in Owerri—a move Davido rejected, insisting on honoring his commitment to Don Lulu. But in a shocking twist, upon arrival in Umuahia, Davido was diverted to the home of Enviable Transport CEO, Mr. Ituma, without the knowledge or approval of Don Lulu.
A video later emerged showing Davido visiting Enviable’s residence, with headlines celebrating an alleged $10,000 cash gift given to the star by Enviable—without a single mention of Don Lulu, the actual host and financier of the visit.
Outrage from Youths: “Apologize Now or Face Consequences”
The act has triggered anger among Abia youths, with many branding it a deliberate hijack, gross misrepresentation, and a smear on the integrity of the well-publicized event.
At a press briefing in Umuahia on Monday, Comrade Chidiebere Nwoko, spokesperson of the Don Lulu Youth Assembly, slammed the conduct of Enviable Transport and Cubana Chiefpriest as “disgraceful and deceitful”, accusing them of trying to rewrite history and undermine Don Lulu’s credibility.
“You don’t pay for a show, fly in a global icon, pay for all logistics including hiring Prado Jeeps from Enviable Transport—and then have your name erased from the headlines,” Nwoko fumed. “This was not a mistake. It was calculated deception.”
What Happens Next?
The Youth Assembly has given Mr. Ituma an ultimatum to issue a public apology to Don Lulu or face protests and campaigns that will “ensure no future hijack or sabotage occurs again” in Abia’s booming entertainment ecosystem.
This incident, analysts say, exposes the growing tension and ego battles within the South-East entertainment industry, especially as stakeholders jostle for relevance in the presence of big names like Davido.
