In no long time from now, Umuahia/Ikwuano/Ikot Ekpene road will be completely abandoned by motorist because the road will become absolutely impassable.

When Abia Facts News team visited that location recently, we discovered that there is an urgent need for intervention either by Abia State Government or Federal Government to ameliorate the suffering of travelers along that route.

The Umuahia/Ikwuano/Ikot Ekpene road is a major link road that links Abia State to Akwa Ibom State and other states down the line. While the Akwa Ibom State axis is constantly being maintained, the Abia State axis is in a very deplorable state seeking for urgent attention.

Few years back, the honorable member representing Ikwuano/Umuahia federal constituency at the national assembly, Honorable Sam Onuigbo attracted a rehabilitation project of that road and Abia Facts News also gathered that there are plans to reconstruct that road completely by the federal government, but that road needs an urgent attention now before the road cuts into two from different portions.
