The Federal Government has given a deadline for civil servants to get COVID 19 vaccination or risk not having access to government offices.

The Chairman, Presidential Steering Committee on COVID-19 (PSC), Boss Mustapha while briefing newsmen on Wednesday, said it is now mandatory for civil servants to get COVID vaccine.

Mustapha warned that from December 1, 2021, civil servants will not be allowed access into offices without vaccination proof.

They are required to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination or present a negative COVID-19 test result done within 72 hours.

” With effect from 1st December, 2021, Federal Government employees shall be required to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination or present a negative COVID-19 PCR test result done within 72 hours, to gain access to their offices, in all locations within Nigeria and our missions. An appropriate service wide advisory/circular will be issued to guide the process.”
