Court Denies Abba Kyari Bail, Issues New Order To NDLEA | PHOTOS/DETAILS
Justice Emeka Nwite of a Federal High Court in Abuja, on Monday, refused the bail application of embattled Abba Kyari and his accomplices Inspectors Simon Agirgba, and John Nuhu.
Recall that the suspended DCP Kyari and 5 others are standing trail on a drug case filed against them by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).
Ruling on the bail application, Justice Nwite held that the prosecution has presented sufficient evidences before the court to warrant the refusal of bail for the applicants.
The judge granted a request earlier made by the NDLEA to accelerate hearing of the case
Instead, Justice Nwite granted an accelerated hearing of the case.
He ordered the transfer of Abba Kyari, and six other accomplices to the Kuje Correctional Center.
The matter was adjourned till April 28, 2022.
