Conferment Of ENYI OHA Abiriba On Nwaka Inem: A Testament Of His Selflessness, Philanthropic Disposition |SEE PHOTOS
The Ancient Kingdom of Abiriba in Ohafia Local Area of Abia state was on stand still as the Enchioken of Abiriba kingdom conferred the title of Enyi Oha of Abiriba on the person of Nwaka Ogbonna Inem in an elaborate ceremony held on Thursday and Friday 9th – 10th December, 2021.
The Enyi Oha which literal means ‘friend to all’ is a vivid description of the man Nwaka Inem, a man whose love for others is on unquantifiable. He is dedication to the service of humanity and community is well known. For him, nothing gives him satisfaction than the growth of his community, smiling faces of the indignant and down trodden members of the society.
As a laboratory scientist and politician, he has always dedicated and involved himself in ventures that uplift the condition of his people. For instance, Chief Nwaka Inem as the President Abiriba Communal Improvement Union (ACIU) Lagos branch, represented the community by submitting and defending a proposal at the Senator Omisore appropriation committee which led to the approval of #400million for the Abiriba regional water scheme and another #100 million for the re- electrification of Abiriba community after 7 years of total blackout. So, that Abiriba today enjoys electricity, it is to credit of Chief Nwaka Inem, no wonder the people of Abiriba regards him as a son and friend of the community.
As a philanthropist, Chief Nwaka believes that the youths are very critical to the development of any community, no wonder he places emphasis on the empowerment of the youths. No wonder he invests huge funds to scholarship to undergraduates in various universities across the country.
Chief Inem Nwaka has indeed made imprints in the sands of time which is why he is being recognised and conferred chieftaincy titles and awards within and outside Abiriba.
The ceremony and conferment of the title of Enyi Oha by the Enchioken of Abiriba is not for patronage but a recognition and testament of his illustriousness and selflessness as well as commitment to human empowerment and community development.
