Dr. Chris O. Igwe, OFR, Chairman/CEO of Chrisnak Group and MD of Mainland Oil and Gas, has been honored with the prestigious 2024 Michael Okpara Leadership Prize in Abuja. The award celebrates his remarkable leadership and contributions to Nigeria’s business landscape.

 

In a distinguished ceremony held in Abuja on August 22, 2024, Dr. Sir Chris O. Igwe, OFR, Chairman/CEO of Chrisnak Group and Managing Director of Mainland Oil and Gas Co Ltd, was honored with the 2024 Michael Okpara Leadership Prize Award. The accolade, named after the esteemed former Premier of the Eastern Region, Dr. Michael Okpara, is one of Nigeria’s most prestigious recognitions of leadership and service.

 

The award was presented to Dr. Igwe by High Chief Arthur Eze, MFR, Chairman/CEO of Atlas Oranto Petroleum, on behalf of the Michael Okpara Leadership Program, which organizes the annual event. This recognition is a testament to Dr. Igwe’s enduring commitment to excellence in leadership, business, and philanthropy.

As the founder and CEO of Chrisnak Group, a conglomerate with interests spanning various sectors including oil and gas, real estate, and construction, Dr. Igwe has consistently demonstrated visionary leadership. Under his stewardship, Mainland Oil and Gas has grown to become a leading player in Nigeria’s energy sector, contributing significantly to the nation’s economic development.
