A renowned Chief of the Ughievwen Kingdom in Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State, Olorogun Emmanuel Bikogha has been killed by gunmen.

According to reports, Chief Emmanuel was shot dead at the popular PTI junction in Effurun on Sunday at about 7:10 pm, August 21 just four days after his birthday.

A fellow palace chief of the deceased, Chief Freeborn Ayoma, who confirmed the death to journalists, said that he was attacked by unknown gunmen.

Olorogun Bikogho, who hailed from Owahwa town, Ughievwen Kingdom holds the traditional title of ‘echihigan’ of Ughievwen Kingdom.

Spokesperson of the State Police Command, DSP Bright Edafe, confirmed the death to journalists but didn’t give further details.
