In under a year, Ohafia Local Government Area has undergone a dramatic transformation, thanks to the visionary leadership of Chief Dr. David Ogba Onuoha Bourdex MFR, OON. Once marred by poor infrastructure, the absence of basic amenities such as water and electricity, and dysfunctional office spaces, the local government headquarters now stands as a testament to what effective leadership and focused dedication can achieve.
Chief Dr. Bourdex, a renowned entrepreneur and one of the earliest investors in Nigeria’s telecommunications industry, is no stranger to success. Drawing on his wealth of experience from the private sector, he has seamlessly applied his expertise to the administration of Ohafia LGA, ushering in a new era of development and efficiency.
A Headquarters in Disrepair
When Chief Dr. Bourdex assumed office, the condition of the Ohafia LGA headquarters was nothing short of dire. There was no running water or electricity, and many of the buildings were either crumbling or barely usable. The decapitated state of the infrastructure made it nearly impossible for staff to carry out their duties efficiently. Yet, undeterred by the scale of the challenges before him, Bourdex set to work immediately, leveraging his business acumen to address the myriad issues.
