The Central Bank of Nigeria has pledged its support to the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs towards developing agriculture in the Niger Delta.

This was disclosed in a statement signed by Head of Press and Public Relations at the ministry, Patricia Deworitshe.

The statement said that the alliance was sealed during a visit by the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Godswill Akpabio, to the CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele, in his office in Abuja.

The minister said the joint venture would not only help to explore the agricultural potential of the region but also to add value to its food chain production.
