The governor took to his official Twitter handle to laud the 95th minute 1-0 win scored by Cyril Chinedu Olisemme yesterday, at the Enyimba International Stadium, Aba, the commercial city of the State.
Ikpeazu heaved a sigh of relief as matches can now be played at the Enyimba International Stadium at night with floodlights, and digital score board.
He expressed gratitude to God, the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF), Enyimba players and fans.
“I wish to thank God for His Grace which saw our darling indefatigable @EnyimbaFC rise to the challenge once again in their 1-0 victory last night over @orlandopirates at the Enyimba Intern’l Stadium, Aba.
“The massive support the team received from her fans across the globe and particularly from @thenff under the able leadership of @PinnickAmaku should serve as tonic for greater commitment and hard work.
“I’m personally thrilled by the fact that matches can now be played at the Enyimba International Stadium by 10pm with floodlights on an ultra modern turf, complimented by a digital score board all of which were provided by our administration and which also attracted accolades from the match commentators!
“Good thinking, Good product! Congrats Enyimba!
“Lets keep the flag flying until we achieve our ultimate aim!” the Governor wrote.
