BUZZ FM 89.7 ABA TO BE OFFICIALLY UNVEILED DECEMBER 14

On January 1st, 2019, Buzz FM, an independent, Urban Commercial radio station that broadcasts live from Aba, the commercial nerve centre of Abia state, on 89.7 MHZ on the frequency Modulated band began official broadcasting.

Received in most major cities in the south-east, and south-south, the station provides seasoned Infotainment, educational programmes, and music.

Founded with the vision of providing all round entertainment, Buzz Fm is solidly in the business of radio broadcasting, as a commercial Fm station with a likeable, dynamic, and interactive programming philosophy.

Speaking with newsmen, the Head, News Desk, Mr Stanley Mba says since inception, “we have endeavoured to meet the needs of our mixed audiences through impartial presentation of our content and we have remained committed to quality and excellence, while ensuring high professional independence at all times.”

“In less than two years, we have won awards, made possible by our objective and impartial news and programmes presentation.”

According to him, the station will be officially opened on December 14, 2019, which coincides with her two years anniversary.

He further said the official opening which will take place at the station premises will be performed by the Abia state governor, Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu.

Dignitaries expected to grace the occasion includes, the Honourable Minister of state for Mines and Steel Development, Dr. Uche Sampson Ogah, Dr. Alex Otti, Honourable Ossy Prestige, Member representing Aba North and South at the green chambers and Sir Abraham Obah, member representing Aba central at the Abia state house of assembly and the Honourable Commissioner for information Abia State, Chief John Okiyi Kalu.

Others are Barr. Jackson Agbai Abbah, President General Anglican Grammar School Nbawsi Old Boys’ Association, Barr. Cyprian O. Ogwumike, Secretary General Anglican Grammar School Nbawsi Old Boys’ Association, Hon. Eric Achor Nwakanma, former Deputy Governor of Abia State and Hon. Eziuche Ubani, the immediate past Abia State Commissioner for Works who are both old boys of the Anglican Grammar School Nbawsi, many other old boys of the school, the station’s clients, partners, members of Buzz FM Fan Club and a host of others.

To this end, a number of activities have been lined up to mark this epoch making event.

Presentation of gift items to various motherless babies homes in the city of Aba, and a free gate show tagged “Buzz Fest”, aimed at appreciating residents of the city and beyond for their tremendous love and support since inception.

The event will hold on December 15, 2019 at the Abia state Polytechnic field, and will feature Music sensations, Kaycee, Ruff Coin and a host of other Aba/Abia based musical talents and comedians in line with the philosophy of our founder, Mr John Okorocha, who believes in encouraging local talents.

Mba who is also thw chairman of the planning committee also called on all and sundry to celebrate with the station and join them on December 15, at the Abia state polytechnic field where the station’s hard working and youthful On Air Personalities (OAPs), will be officially unveiled.
