Buhari Presides Over Emergency Security Council Meeting
President Muhammadu Buhari is presently presiding over the National Security Council in Abuja.
This is coming barely twenty-four hours after the minority leader, Senator Adua had staged a walkout with the opposition senators because of refusal of the senate president to discuss the country’s security crisis.
In response to the looming threat, the emergency meeting has in attendance the National Security Adviser, retired Major General Babagana Monguno, Minister of Defence, retired Major General Bashir Magashi and that of Police Affairs, Maigari Dingyadi.
Others include the Chief of Defence Staff, General Lucky Irabor, the Service Chiefs and the Inspector General of Police.
They are expected to discuss and reassess the security situation of the country and how to ways to confront the growing insecurity in the country.
