Buhari Pays Condolence Visit To Family Victims Of Kano Explosion

President, Muhammadu Buhari on Monday paid homage to the families of the nine persons that lost their lives in the explosion that rocked Sabon Gari area of Kano last Tuesday.

Buhari, who also paid a courtesy visit to the Emir of Kano, Aminu Ado Bayero, explained that he was in the state on a national assignment but decided to use the opportunity to sympathize with the families.

“I am in Kano to condole the emir over the unfortunate incident that claimed some lives and to commiserate with the families of the victim.

“I pray for affected families and also praise the state government for being proactive,” he stated.

The traditional ruler commended President Buhari for the good gesture and concern for the bereaved family, saying that it shows his love for Nigerians.

The Emir added that his Emirates would continue to pray for peace and stability in Nigeria

He expressed hope that the forthcoming general elections would be peaceful and Nigeria would have desired leaders who are patriotic and concerned with the growth and progress of the country.

Also speaking during the President’s visit, the state governor, Umar Abdullahi Ganduje, said that his government has provided N1 million to each of the affected families.

According to the governor, 27 persons sustained major injuries during the explosion but the state government has taken over their medical expenses.
