A truck on Tuesday afternoon crushed to death some school pupils along Ogunusi Road, Ojodu Grammar School bus stop, Lagos State.

Report said the tragic incident happened at 2pm when the pupils were going home after closing from school.

The pupils numbering about 15 were said to be crossing the road when the truck which is suspected to have failed brake rammed into the pupils.

The truck driver who fled the scene was reportedly chased to the Ogba area where he was arrested and taken to Ojodu police station close to the accident scene.

Angry youths who were throwing stones into the police station, made the police to fire tear gas to disperse people.
