Manchester United and France National team ace, Paul Pogba has spoken after his home was burgled on Tuesday night.
The midfielder was brought in 67 minutes into the Champions League Round of 16 last-tie that saw Spanish bigshot Atletico Madrid end his side’s race in this season’s campaign.
Taken aback by the incident, the 29-year-old has described it as ”our family’s worst nightmare”.
According to the French International, his ”babies” were sleeping in their bedroom at the time of the upsetting event.
Expressing vulnerability, the father of two explained ”there is no feeling worse in this world than not being able to protect your children”.
Pogba has promised to offer a reward to parties who can help with clues.
”Our family’s worst nightmare was realized when our home was broken into … while our babies were sleeping in their bedroom.
My wife and I rushed home not knowing if our children were safe and unharmed.
As a father there is no feeling worse in this world than not being able to protect your children and I sincerely hope that no-one ever has to feel what I felt last night.”
This incident adds to the pile of security cases evolving around the Premier League club’s squad.
In January, the wife of Manchester United defender Victor Lindelof said her family were the subject of a break-in while the centre-back played against Brentford.
Meanwhile, Manchester United are working with all their players to review and strengthen security at home.
