Gregory University Uturu is set to score another first as the innovative institution partners the Embassy of the state of Israel in Nigeria, office of the Vice President,Skill ‘G’ Ltd, DeNovo-Israel Ltd and other like minded development agencies in presenting the premiere edition of Innovation Fellowship of Aspiring Inventors and Researchers (i-FAIR).
According to a press statement by the organizers,”The Innovation Fellowship for Aspiring Inventors and Researchers is an initiative born out of the need to raise a generation of INNOVATORS, INVENTORS and RESEARCHERS in Nigeria,especially among the youths”.
The statement continues by stating”The i-Fair program is an initiative aimed at raising a generation of innovators, inventors, and researchers in Nigeria by offering them a platform to transform their ideas into innovative solutions and launch their entrepreneurial dreams in the fields of Agriculture & Food Security ,Renewable Energy, Environmental Management, Food Technology, Medical Devices/Simulation and Social Responsibility”.
Regarding the inherent opportunities presented by the program to emerging Nigerian innovators the statement adds “i-FAIR is offering Nigerian aspiring inventors the opportunity to become entrepreneurs and make their dreams come true. It is a unique opportunity to showcase innovative ideas in the fields of Agriculture and Food Technology, Renewable Energy/Environmental Management, Medical Devices/Simulation, and Social Responsibility/Innovation for the Physically Challenged”.
The programme, which is billed to commence in the ultra modern Skill ‘G’ Nig.Ltd Innovation Centre that is strategically located in Abuja, with a three day skills and development session on December 2020, will feature presentations by the Vice President of Nigeria, Prof Yemi Osibanjo, the Israeli Ambassador to Nigeria,Shimon Ben-Shoshan, Executive Secretary of Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND), Prof Suleiman Bagoro, Chancellor of Gregory University Uturu, Prof Gregory Ibe, among many other eminent academics of global repute.
Participating up coming innovators drawn from across Nigeria and beyond are reported to have already thronged Abuja in readiness for the highly explosive and impactful programme.
