BREAKING: Court Sacks 20 Cross River Lawmakers | READ DETAILS
Twenty lawmakers in the Cross River State House of Assembly, has been sacked by a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja for defecting from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), to the All Progressive Congress (APC).
In a judgement delivered by Justice Taiwo Taiwo, on Monday, the court held that the lawmakers needed to vacate their seats since they had abandoned the party which brought them to power.

The judgement followed a suit filed by the PDP marked FHC/ABJ/CS/975/2021.
Recall that Ebonyi state Governor, Dave Umahi and other lawmakers in the state, were also sacked by a court for defecting.
