BREAKING: Burnley Sacks Head Coach, Sean Dyche
In the face of looming relegation, Premier League side, Burnley has sacked head coach, Sean Dyche.
The English team on Friday, 15th April went on a sacking spree, ultimately terminating the appointment of head gaffer, Dyche and his assistant, Ian Woan.
50-year-old Dyche had a 10-year stint with the Clarets, overseeing ten seasons at the Turf Moor Stadium.
The team’s resolve to sack the English football manager comes barely a week after the side fell 2-0 to fellow relegation-threatened side, Norwich.
The English club made a confirmation in a statement released of its website;
“Burnley Football Club can confirm the Club has parted company with manager Sean Dyche, assistant manager Ian Woan, first-team coach Steve Stone and goalkeeping coach Billy Mercer.
Dyche was the longest-serving manager in the Premier League, having been in charge of the Clarets for nine-and-a-half years, overseeing a period which will go down as one of the most successful in the Club’s history.”
Burnley who currently sits in the 18th position on the Premier League table is billed to face f West Ham United in a Premier League tie on Sunday.
