BREAKING: Again, Two INEC Offices On Fire In Ebonyi | READ DETAILS

Two offices of the Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC), has been set on fire by yet to be identified hoodlums in Ebonyi and Ezza North Local Government Areas of Ebonyi State.

 

Report available at the moment says, no casualties were recorded, however the facilities were badly touched.

As at the time of filing this report, INEC is yet to give an official statement as regards to the incident

So far INEC state offices in the south east and south-south Geo-political zone that has been attacked include; Abia, Ebonyi, Anambra, Enugu, Imo and Akwa Ibom.

 

Recall that INEC emergency meeting with heads of all the security agencies in the country under the auspices of the Inter-Agency Consultative Committee on Election Security (ICCES), is scheduled to hold today, Wednesday, May 19  after the commission’s meeting with its 37 Resident Electoral Commissions (RECs) in all the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
