Premiership: Bournemouth Sack Parker After Abysmal Start Of 2022/23 Season
Scott Parker has become the first manager to be sacked in the English Premiership League 2022/2023 season campaign.
This comes after Bournemouth were humiliated 9-0 by Liverpool over the weekend.
Parker who led the team’s success to the English top flight football has failed to live up to expectation with three straight defeats after just managing a 2-0 win at home against in the season opener.
Bournemouth has had an abysmal start of the season conceding a whopping 16 goals without finding the back of the net.
Disclosing the sack, co-owner Maxim Demin told the club’s official website
”I would like to place on record my gratitude to Scott and his team for their efforts during their time with us. Our promotion to the Premier League during his tenure will always be remembered as one of the most successful seasons in our history”
“However in other to keep progressing as a team and as a club as a whole, it is unconditional that we are aligned in our strategy to run the club successfully. We must also show belief and respect for each other. That is the approach that has brought this club so much success in recent history, and one that will not veer from now. Our search for a new coach will begin immediately.”
