Bandits have killed a Catholic Priest, and abducted another in Saint Vincent Ferrer Catholic Church, Malumfashi Parish, Katsina State.

The bandits on Thursday night, invaded the Church premises at about 11:30 pm, killing Reverend Father Alphonsus Bello Yanshim, and whisked away another Reverend Father Joseph Keke.

The corpse of the priest was discovered at the back of the Pastoral Centre of the Church Friday morning.

However, as of the time of filing this report, no information has been received concerning the Priest who was abducted.

Residents in the area said the bandits  came in their numbers causing unrest in the area with gunshots.

Katsina State Police Command, is yet to issue an official statement regarding the incident.
