An American actor, Armie Hammer, has been accused of raping and abusing his former girlfriend Effie Angelova, 24.

Effie  in a virtual press conference organized by her attorney, Gloria Allred, claimed that Hammer abused her mentally, emotionally, and s-xually.

Recalling  an incident that happened  on April 24, 2017, she alleged;

” Hammer violently raped me for over four hours in Los Angeles, during which he repeatedly slammed my head against a wall, bruising my face.

” I tried to get away but he wouldn’t let me .

“I thought that he was going to kill me” she alleged.

According to Effie, they met on Facebook in 2016 when she was 20 years old, and their “relationship progressed rapidly.”

She said; “He would often test my devotion to him, slyly removing and crossing my boundaries, as he became increasingly more violent.

 “After the 2017 incident,I lived in fear of him.

“For a long time, I tried to dismiss his actions towards me as a twisted form of love”.

The complainant’s  lawyer, Allred, said that her client has evidence which she believes supports her serious allegations, adding that the evidence  has been given to the police.

However, Hammer has denied the claims.

Responding to the claims. Hammer’s lawyer, Andrew Brettler, described it as “outrageous allegations”.

According to Brettler, “all of Hammer’s interactions with Effie, have been completely consensual, discussed and agreed upon in advance, and mutually participatory.”
