The 31-year-old is expected to leave as a free agent this summer, with interest already brewing from clubs in both England and Saudi Arabia.

Partey’s Arsenal exit now looks inevitable

Thomas Partey’s time at Arsenal appears to be drawing to a close after Sacha Tavolieri revealed that the club has decided against offering the midfielder a contract extension.

Having joined the Gunners from Atlético Madrid in 2020, Partey has been a vital part of Arsenal’s midfield when fit. However, a string of injuries and Mikel Arteta’s evolving tactical setup have limited his involvement this season.

Now 31, Partey is entering the final weeks of his Arsenal deal, as well as the twilight of his career, and with no renewal in sight, the club is seemingly ready to move on.

The decision marks the end of an era for the Ghanaian international in North London and opens the door for him to explore his next chapter in football.

Saudi clubs circle for Partey

Despite his Arsenal journey ending, the Ghanaian midfielder will not be short of options once the summer window opens.

Reports indicate that clubs in both the Premier League and Saudi Arabia are lining up to secure his services on a free transfer.

While Partey is reportedly happy living in London and remains open to staying in England, early discussions with Saudi Pro League representatives have already taken place.

The Ministry of Sports in Saudi Arabia is said to be impressed by Partey’s Champions League performances and views him as a high-profile addition to further elevate the league’s competitiveness.

Sources also suggest that the midfielder has reacted positively to this interest, hinting at a potential move to the Gulf State.
