Eight new cases of Coronavirus have been confirmed in Nigeria.

The National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made the announcement on Saturday night in a post on its official Twitter page.

It said the new patients are in FCT, Kaduna, Osun and Oyo States.

Nigeria now has 97 confirmed cases of the virus.

“Eight new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Nigeria; 2 in FCT, 4 in Oyo, 1 in Kaduna and 1 in Osun State,” NCDC tweeted.

“As at 10:40 pm 28th March there are 97 confirmed cases of COVID-19 reported in Nigeria with 1 death.”

Meanwhile, NCDC had earlier on Saturday provided an update on COVID-19 cases in Nigeria.
