Based on the information made available to ALL FACTS NEWSPAPER, the Hon. Okey Igwe road rehabilitation scheme is set to immediately embark on palliative works at the collapsing portions of Amuda-Ngodo road. This is in keeping with its mandate of ensuring accessibility of critical local roads and in recognition of the critical importance of Amuda-Ngodo road to all commuters in Umunneochi LGA.

We gathered that for durability sake, the rehabilitation scheme will use a mix of laterite, concrete and cement to rehabilitate the road.

The House Member, who has received numerous calls on the sorry state of the road, made this known when he inspected the road last week. He stressed the importance of imbibing continuous road maintenance culture to prevent small patches from deteriorating into giant ditches that costs millions to fix.
