Yesterday, 10th of January 2019, the senator representing Abia North senatorial district at the National Assembly, Senator Mao Ohuabunwa met with the people of Amaekpu Ohafia to strengthen ties and remind them of the need for their support ahead of the forthcoming general elections.
Senator Ohuabunwa who met with the traditional ruler of clan Chief Onka Uchendu (Enyi nwe Ofia) in his palace, to reiterate his commitment to the people of the community spoke glowingly of the people and assured them of his knowledge of their support for him.
The features of the event were, the endorsement of the senator by the council of traditional leaders in Amaekpu, the presentation of gifts and prizes to the winners of the Senator Mao Ohuabunwa football competition in December, the Shooting Stars football club of Amaekpu Ohafia; the presentation of cash prize to the best player of the competition; presentation of bags of rice, clothes, and money to the women of Amaekpu Ohafia.
The flash points of the event include the dance presentation by various dance groups including the prestigious Ohafia war dance group.
The Senator also met with his grassroot mobilizers at the resident Met with the canvassers in Ohafia local government at the residence of Chief Chima Eke (Big Sea), the SSA to the governor on Agriculture. He assured them of maximum cooperation to ensure that Abia North is delivered for the PDP.
