Foremost Online News Platform AFNEWS has entered into partnership with HONPI Foundation towards educating the public on the need and ways of preventing Nasopharyngeal Cancer
A copy of the agreement cited revealed that Honpi Center for Awareness and Mitigation (aka:Honpi Foundation) is a Non-profit Organization established in the loving memory of Hope Obumneke Nneoma Prince- Iroha who battled Nasopharyngeal Cancer and transcended to glory.
While battling the Cancer she and her husband; Kalu Prince-Iroha decided to establish the HONPI Foundation targeted at helping the world to be Nasopharyngeal Cancer free by educating the people, creating awareness and sensitizing people on prevention ,early detection and mitigation of Nasopharyngeal Cancer.
It will interest you to note that HONPI Foundation is already helping those living with Nasopharyngeal Cancer to become champions by educating them properly and helping them to fund the costs of their treatments where applicable.
The partnership between AFNEWS and HONPI Foundation will see AFNEWS providing holistic and strategic well aligned array of media services through educating and disseminating information to the general public on the program and activities of HONPI Foundation.
Nasopharyngeal cancer also called nasopharyngealcarcinoma(NPC) is a rare type of head and neck cancer in which cancer cells form in the tissues of the nasopharynx. It starts in the upper part of the throat, behind the nose called the nasopharynx.
The nasopharynx is precariously placed at the base of the skull above the roof of the mouth.The nostrils open into the nasopharynx. When you breathe air flows through your nose into your throat and nasopharynx ,and eventually into your lungs.
