Adeleke Reacts To Court Judgement Removing Him As Osun Governor

The Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has faulted the judgement of the tribunal which sacked him on Friday as the governor of the state while affirming Adegboyega Oyetola as the authentic winner of the July 16 governorship election held in the state.

Reacting to the judgement, Adeleke in a statement released by his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, called on his supporters to remain calm, adding that he will appeal the judgement.

“I call on our people to remain calm. We will appeal the judgement and we are sure justice will be done. Let our people be reassured that we will do everything possible to retain this widely acclaimed mandate,” the governor said.

ALL FACTS NEWSPAPER had earlier reported that Justice Tetsea Kume, while delivering a majority decision, declared that the Independent National Electoral Commission did not comply substantially with the constitution and the provisions of the Electoral Act.

The judgement added that Adegboyega had more votes against Adeleke and should be issued with a certificate of return by INEC. READ HERE
